The parents of Adrian, 12, and Katherine, 9, died in a tragic car accident as they were returning to their home near St. Louis, Missouri, when a car swerved into their lane and crashed into them head-on. Their uncle, David and his wife, who live in Chicago, will take care of them now. David knows that his sister and her husband were good planners and would have provided for their children. But now he has to piece all the information together, while managing his grief, his Mom’s grief, grief of Adrian and Kate, and his own children’s grief. He wishes he knew the answers to the following questions:
Is there a life insurance policy? Where is the will? What provisions did his sister make to support the kids? Who can he contact for their medical history?
If David only knew the answers to these question, at least his logistics burden would be lessened, if not his grief.
