Steve and Sarah have been married for 40 years. Steve was the primary earner while Sarah raised the kids and managed the house. Steve tended to all the finances and the important documents. Unfortunately, Steve suffered a severe stroke. Since then he is unable to speak or write. Sarah wants to take care of Steve, but she does not know where the insurance polices are kept, how to handle social security, and how to make arrangements for all the medical bills. This is adding to her stress in addition to taking care of Steve.
How we help
We help you remember and organize the everyday details. From the small items, such as the vet's phone number, to the larger items, such as insurance policies.
Beth lives alone in North Carolina. Her son, Bill, lives in California with his family. Beth fell in the bathroom and broke her hip. She was able to call emergency services who took her to the hospital. After her hospital stay, Beth recovered in a rehab facility. Bill was able to talk to Beth’s doctors, pay all the bills, arrange to take care of Beth’s house – all while living in California. Bill was able to do this because years ago Beth had shared her important documents with Bill and provided him with the power of attorney to operate her bank accounts and permissions to speak to her doctors.
